Into dreams dragged in deep

Swirling whirling in my head

Tossing fighing in my bed

Smell the blood, taste the fire

Reaching out with sweet desire

Calling screaming come to me

A lonely life the night is sure to bring



Where shadows hide blackened wing



In underground lairs tombs and crypt



Writing in ancient forgotten script





A beauty she was with raven tresses



Watches a crow and the freedom it possesses



She hears the beat of its heart whilst in flight



Higher and higher to unimaginable height





Reaching out with its ebony plumes



Stroking the moon, her loneliness looms



If only her heart could beat once more



Like that crow, she could once again soar





Into the dark heavens with the wind in her hair



Not to look back on her darkened despair



As she longed and ached for her nightmare to end



He whispered “Come to me, your heart I can mend”





She turned and looked as the whisper repeat



Calm and soft the voice sounded so sweet



She followed down alleys and into the night



To a field of flowers shimmering in moonlight





There he stood the man with the soft request



She went to him laying her head on his chest



“I knew you would come, the dreams were true”



He turned into a crow and together they flew





Into the sky, by the moon they did dance



Lovers eternal brought together by chance



The crow and his beauty by the moon they now fly
